A famine memorial on the Highway of Death. During the potato famine in the 1840's, 600 people from the town of Louisburgh travelled 12 miles, one direction, in search of food from the Lord but were turned away. 200 of those people perished on the return trip back to Louisburgh. An annual walk is done to remember the famines in the world today.
